Attendance system and custom check-in hardware, 150+ sites
A national time-and-attendance system for public-sector employers, including a purpose-built RFID check-in device deployed to over 150 locations.
MERV is a workforce time-and-attendance system built for Gradska Čistoća, the National Employment Service (NSZ), and the Municipality of Voždovac. Attendance data feeds payroll, so the record has to hold up.
Off-the-shelf terminals did not fit the deployment: 150+ sites, public-sector procurement, and a need for check-in that could not be trivially faked by a colleague swiping two cards. The hardware had to be something we could specify, build, and support ourselves.
- › Built the attendance platform in PHP on MySQL, covering the shift, site, and reporting model payroll depends on.
- › Designed and built the check-in device: a Raspberry Pi running Python, with a webcam and RFID-card check-in.
- › Supported the rollout across the participating employers.
- › Deployed across 150+ locations nationwide.
- › In use by three public-sector employers, including the National Employment Service.
