Application architecture for an SEC-registered exchange
Backend and frontend architecture for a US national securities exchange, built and operated under SEC regulatory and audit requirements.
LTSE is an SEC-registered US national securities exchange. I worked on application architecture and system components across both backend and frontend, deployed and operated on Heroku.
A registered exchange operates under rules that most software teams never encounter: what happened must be reconstructable after the fact, changes carry a compliance cost, and "we will fix it in the next release" is not always an available answer. The architecture has to make the audit requirement a property of the system rather than a process wrapped around it.
- › Designed and built application components across the backend and the frontend, in Laravel and React on PostgreSQL.
- › Worked inside strict regulatory and audit requirements, treating traceability as an architectural constraint rather than a reporting feature.
- › Deployed and operated the system on Heroku.
- › Shipped and operated inside the compliance regime of an SEC-registered national securities exchange.
